Kim’s Bio
Raised in Connecticut, as a child I took lessons from a local stable where I later started my career of teaching. Did my first lesson at 15 yrs of age, teaching beginners from 5 yrs old to 40. I taught lessons after school and Saturdays to support my first show horse. Showed hunt seat and equitation at the local 4-H shows, pony club and the recognized AHSA shows. Later I became one of the head instructors for our local Pony club.
My parents were determined to send me to college, where I enrolled in Centenary and later graduated with a degree in Equine Studies and a minor in Child Psychology. Upon leaving college I became head instructor at a new barn in my area.
In 1985 I opened my own barn, “Lit’l Bit Stables” in Connecticut. It was 1989 that my late husband Walt and I moved it to Deleon Springs, Fla. Where I still teach and train as well as show the APHA & AQHA Show Circuits.
Showing Halter horses in Paints and Quarter Horses in the APHA & AQHA circuits together we had a several World Champions and several local level Champions. Showing halter, pleasure driving, hunt seat and western pleasure are my specialties.
Experienced in showing for over 30 yrs in local, regional and world competitions, I can take your horse where you want to go.
